Around this time of year, I can't help but start daydreaming about how much will my tax refund be. I make sure to have enough taken out of my paycheck that I always get a refund. I think tax experts would say that you should aim to have as small of a refund as possible. I know that for me owing money on my taxes would be a disaster, so I make sure to have a big enough cushion to make sure it doesn't happen.
I get so anxious waiting for all my tax forms to come in. My work always has it ready by the second week of January, but my wife's work doesn't mail it until the last possible day. Luckily, I found that I can use online tax software to estimate my refund. I put in all the information I have and use my wife's last paycheck to estimate her information. It looks like I'll be getting a pretty nice refund this year!
