Form 1040ez is one of the simplest tax forms that a taxpayer can use to report the earnings that they made for the year. It is used by the group of people who do not have to itemize. In fact, the people that use form 1040ez will not be reporting income that was made from investment property since it is has been designed to be very basic.
For example, if the person is a student in college and they have no dependents to report information on they may be able to use this form to report their earnings. To see if you are eligible to complete the 1040ez form you can check the eligibility requirements on the hard copy manual or IRS's website. Some people pay professionals to complete their taxes, it is not necessary with this form because it is normally straightforward for most and only requires entering a few figures that you can obtain from your W-4 form.
